Monkey Plans

For months now, when my monkey mind has had a moment to wonder it has been planning this trip.  I am even planning for the post-trip slump.  I know that all I have is this beautiful now, but I can't shake the belief that if I do the right forethinking, the now of 2013 will be worth the sacrifice of this now.  This now where the menfolk are watching Mission Impossible.  I could join them.  Popcorn snuggles.  Naw.  Creating the ultimate "long-term travel" checklist from assorted lesser checklists online has me smiling.  And now, the blog.  I grimace as I think it-- "Life is what happens while you are making other plans."
