First 12 hour impressions: Even the industrial district out
by the airport is clean. The rest of the
city is a crazy mix. Our neighborhood is
full of mansions that are fun to peek into on night strolls (anytime after
4:30pm). The shops are a ten-fifteen minute
walk away. Many houses have bushes that
appear to grow mini-marshmallows- making everyone crave hot cocoa on very cold,
windy, rainy walks home from dinner. The
groceries are tiny. Our apartment is
very warm and my favorite thing is the bar heater in the shower.
Right now, I never want to live outside a city.
Hurray! Glad you landed well. That place (Europe) can make you love a city! Great to hear from you.
